Pescantina is a town located near Valpolicella and along the banks of the Adige River, so much so that it still hides an ancient port, already used by the Romans as a commercial dock.
A territory that breathes the fresh breezes of the hills and thrives on the history and peasant tradition of a people who have always cultivated grapevines and fruit trees.
In particular, thanks to very draining and silty soils but, above all, a good level of minerals brought by the river currents, the peaches here become sweet and slightly sour with a unique fragrance. It is for these qualities of the territory that the product has been awarded the IGP Pesca di Verona.
Those from Pescantina are the true historical core.
Erica Fontana is our farmer who will provide them to us. A sunny girl who studied architecture but has dedicated herself to the land and the organic cultivation of fruit. Her processed products are already available on the portal as Fontana Bio.
The yellow peaches are one of the specialties of Pescantina and can be of quality with skin or type nectarine. They are delicious raw, with the first being juicier and the latter more acidic. A healthy and seasonal food that is picked as soon as the order arrives. An excellent product for jams and preserves. Yellow nectarine peaches are ideal for peach melba to be placed on cream ice creams in summer and for canning because they remain firm and crunchy. They are already available for reservation today, but the first shipments will begin on Monday.
We also remind you that since this is an extremely fresh fruit just harvested and not ripened in refrigerators, the shipment of the product will only be carried out on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
So take advantage and enjoy your meals with freshness during these summer days.
