Rosé, the sparkling wine of the sun.

France has always created a market for sparkling rosé and still wines, especially in the Provençal area, which have set the trend in other European and international countries as well.

In the last decade, rosé has seen a significant increase, particularly in its sparkling version, mostly Charmat.

Aside from Franciacorta, Trento DOC, and Oltrepò Pavese where the tradition lies in bottle refermentation with the Classic Method, the rest of the country has seen a flurry of these products with more or less significant results.
Producers from the areas around Lake Garda, both Veronese and Brescian, have stood out with excellent performances. The Benazzoli winery has made a name for itself in the French Provence, being awarded the best Sparkling Rosé at the Rosé Competition. However, there are also other regions, particularly in the south, such as Puglia and Sicily, that are establishing themselves as well. 
 
The charm of this wine lies in the scents particularly linked to small fruits, wild strawberries, cherries, currants, raspberries, etc... a very seasonal mix connected to the playful moments of summer. 
 
We present two that we have chosen for their pleasantness and quality-price ratio. Three values of territory that critics have recognized as high quality.
 
Let's start with the most prestigious of the three. The Chiaretto Sparkling Rosé from the Benazzoli sisters.
A wine of uncontrollable elegance that offers unique fruity sensations and an excellent balance of sapidity and acidity on the palate. A perfect wine for excellent appetizers and entire meals. Ideal for seafood crudités. Already defined as one of the best rosés in the world, it remains a benchmark of Italian rosé winemaking. 
 
Another very intriguing rosé is the Perlato Rosa from Cantina Gorgo in Sommacampagna among the Veronese morainic hills.
A wine that offers a beautiful array of aromas of small red fruits and a pleasant sensation of freshness along with aromatic herbs from the Mediterranean scrub. Once again, we recommend it with various savory appetizers and with seafood crudités. It is also ideal for seafood-based first courses, particularly excellent with baby octopus in sauce.
