All wine producers wine look forward to this time of year with great anticipation and curiosity. In spring, they had submitted their wine samples to the most important Italian and international Guides to be evaluated by expert tasters, industry journalists, and tasting specialists. Gambero Rosso, L’Espresso, Veronelli, Maroni, Slow Wine, Vini Buoni d’Italia, Decanter, Bibenda, and many others determine the value of the main Italian wines. Then in November, the important event Merano Wine Festival, which, in a sense, closes this stage race of Italian wines.
The verdicts, as is logical, are appreciated by those who are rated well and despised by those who are underestimated. But that's part of the game. We are waiting for the official announcements from all the guides regarding the winners across all Italian regions to verify the scores achieved by our fantastic friends at Spaghetti & Mandolino. Some are already ultra-awarded, such as Flavio Prà with the winery I Campi, which has won the Tre Bicchieri of Gambero Rosso for 5 consecutive years with his Soave Classico Campo Vulcano, a must for white wine lovers.
And what about Agostino Vicentini, who every year delivers stunning results in all the guides and on Gambero Rosso with his exceptional Soave Superiore DOCG Il Casale. Finally, a wine that always achieves great results is the Custoza Superiore Amedeo from the Cavalchina winery. Who can still remember Antonio Fattori in his black tailcoat stepping onto the stage of the Royal Albert Hall to be awarded by Decanter as the producer of the best white wine in the world with his Soave Motto Piane?
So we’re also waiting and will keep you informed to see how many ribbons we will need to add to our portal!
