There has been a lot of talk about Bio even in the meat and cured meats sector lately. But can we trust those who say that the product is natural, gluten free, free from, etc...?
Nowadays, anyone selling cured meats, even at the smallest markets, adds these adjectives to strengthen their commercial appeal and capture even the most fragile or demanding market segments. We should always be cautious and strive to be well informed.

How can you tell if meat is BIO?

As with all other foods, the label should display the little leaf symbol with stars on a bright green background somewhere.
