Organic is set to break new record numbers!

One of the most anticipated events every year, growing more curious and interesting: from September 8 to 11, SANA, the fair of Organic, will conquer the city of Bologna. A fair that has marked the path of BIO in Italy. An event that sets constant records every year and increases its exhibition space exponentially. Food & Beverage, but also cosmetics, natural body care Bio, Green Lifestyle, Home & Office, Pet & Garden, Travel & Wellness.

The 2016 edition of SANA recorded 47,221 visitors, 833 companies, 50,000 sqm of exhibition, more than 60 events and workshops (with 4,800 participants) and 2,300 meetings with buyers from 27 countries. Numbers that testify to the great growth of the sector that shows no signs of slowing down and, with it, of SANA, which for years has been the reference exhibition platform for operators and enthusiasts of organic (here is our organic selection) and natural in all its forms.

The entire organic food system is growing: the latest estimates for 2016 sales in the specialized channel indicate a +3.5%, while in the GDO, the Nielsen update highlights a +16% (in the year ending June 2017) and an organic share of over 3% of total food sales (5 times more than in 2000).

At the same time, the number of "bio-users" is also growing, with an increase of 1.2 million just in 2016, as captured by the 2017 SANA Observatory curated by Nomisma and promoted by BolognaFiere, with the sponsorship of FederBio and Assobio. On September 8, the presentation of the Observatory “All the numbers of Italian organic” will this year offer updated data on organic with a focus on new trends in the Italian market and on products dedicated to vegetarians and vegans.

Within the event, there will also be a lot of Spaghett & Mandolino. In fact, many of our suppliers who showcase their production excellence every year will be present. Among them, we remember Salumificio Pedrazzoli, which, as every year, will present at SANA the Primavera Bio line and the company's news. A new entry for our portal is the beautiful reality of tuna processing in the Ionian Sea, Mare dell'Etna. There will also be Antico Molino Rosso with its high-quality flours for bread and leavened products.

Spaghetti & Mandolino will also be present as a buyer to do scouting for new products of excellence to be included soon in the portal. It will be a great opportunity to expand our range of proposals to all of you, who are increasingly numerous and demanding!
