We propose an "alcoholic barricade". Cheers.
Grappa represents the quintessential Italian spirit and the most famous one in the world. It is made from pomace of grapes grown and processed exclusively on Italian soil, as declared by the European Council regulation of 1989.
We present to you, from the multi-award-winning winery Corte S. Alda, from Mezzane in the province of Verona, a perfect combination of two Amarone pomace grappas (self-referential!) typical of the territory: the first is a dry, transparent grappa, and the second, amber-colored, is aged and refined in oak barrels. The barrel, also known by the French term "barrique," is a small wooden cask with a capacity of 225 liters.
The term "barricade" derives precisely from these barrels: during the "French Revolution" they were filled with earth or debris and placed along borders or streets to create barriers.
The grappas in question are both spirits derived from the distillation of pomace using the traditional alembic method. One is young and dry at 44°, with a refined and persistent flavor, to be enjoyed in company or alone by the fireplace. The other is aged for about a year, with a complex taste featuring notes of licorice and vanilla, adding a touch of tradition to an excellent digestif.
Let yourself be captivated by the aroma of these strong-flavored grappas and fully enjoy the festive season by toasting to a new year in the company of your loved ones.
We recommend that you enjoy
