Taste in Florence is one of the most beautiful gourmet events in Italy, showcasing the most important Italian producers of gastronomic excellence. It is an event made by Pitti Immagine of Florence, a guarantee of quality that the Pitti brand assigns to products that are good and beautiful. Thanks to its fashion identity, Pitti Immagine evaluates access to the event exclusively for products that can combine the highest organoleptic quality and innovative design. In the large spaces of the Stazione Leopolda of the lily city, beauty merges with pleasure. Three days that bring together thousands of visitors from around the world. Taste is aimed at operators and simply passionate visitors who love good food. In short, it’s a paradise for those who, like us, love to sneak among the Italian gastronomic rarities.
At this extraordinary fair of Italian delicacies, we from Spaghetti & Mandolino will also be there. I correct myself: some of our magnificent suppliers will showcase their products among the tables of Leopolda. If you are present at Leopolda, you can visit them and get to know them even better than just tasting their products.
Let's start with Marilena Tommasini, the goddess of Visciole from Cantiano. She will be at booth D/120 with her Corte Luceoli where you can also taste the company’s new products that will soon arrive on our portal… surprise!
A nice fresh beer during Taste is always good as there is always so much people that a bit of refreshment for the palate is appreciated. We invite you to visit the desk of the esteemed Venetian brewery 32 Via dei Birrai. At booth D/2 you will find their entire range of production alongside the friendly and eccentric owners.
When entering the Stazione Leopolda, the tour always starts to the right, and you slip into the first corridor where you can immediately meet one of our great pasta makers from Gragnano: Vincenzo Petrone, who, along with his son, presents his shapes of Gragnano IGP pasta. This year there will be beautiful surprises with new gourmet pasta shapes that will be presented with handcrafted and colored ceramics made by the Gragnano artisans. You can find Gragnano in Corsa at booth A/2.
During the journey through the taste routes in the Stazione Leopolda pavilions, one is captivated not only by the goodness of the presented products but especially by the beauty of the products and the highly innovative design of the various packaging. In the second pavilion on the left is our flagship for aged cheeses: La Casearia Carpenedo from Camalò di Treviso. You can find them at booth B/51. You can taste the extraordinary Blu 61, the brand new Blu Gins, and many other creations of the genius and creativity of Antonio Carpenedo.
Another precious gem of our collection of Italian cheeses is undoubtedly Luigi Guffanti, whose yellow logo will flood the Florentine pavilions with light and pleasure. Guffanti is located at booth D/37.
Further inside, among the new spaces, is our master of tomatoes: Pasquale Imperato with his Sapori Vesuviani. Piennolo tomatoes from Mount Vesuvius DOP in every sauce, in the true sense of the word, with equally delightful preparations of zucchini, pumpkin, peach, etc. You will find him at booth B/26.
The incredible flavor of Modica chocolate can instead be found with our friend Simone Sabaini from Sabadì at booth D/72. For the eighth consecutive year, he has won the award for the best chocolate from Modica. This year he will also present an absolute novelty, a nectar of Sicilian citrus that serves as a base for rare, delicious fresh beverages.
Taste in Florence is a great opportunity to ensure a heavenly journey through unique and rare flavors and scents of the masterpieces of the Italian land. But also a chance to get to know some of the best interpreters of Italian gastronomy better. Some of them are our friends and suppliers… and therefore also your friends!
