Expo 2015. In Search of Lost Food

We are all concerned whether the work for Expo will be finished on time… given everything that has happened, it’s a plausible feeling. Yet this should not be our fear. In the end, as in the case of the Olympics in China or the World Cup in Brazil, everything will be ready, even in a rush.
What we should fear, instead, is whether six months will be enough, and in what way, to convey the message of the Expo to all the men and women of the world.

By the way, do you know the 2015 slogan?... Try it out with your friends or colleagues. Ask them about the theme of Expo 2015. I tried, and the answers were all over the place.
The theme is "Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life". A strong theme, which must raise global awareness towards a new era of coexistence between all living species on this Earth and, perhaps, even among us Homo Sapiens Sapiens.
The various clusters that will represent different productive districts and various forms of life and sustenance on the planet will talk about innovation, experimentation, future, hope, and life.

The risk is that we may lose sight of history, traditions, everything that is small and silent. The so-called "reserves" where small ancestral farming realities exist, resisting time and its adversities, keeping territories and valuable crops alive. Expo must not forget them.

Feeding the Planet through the wisdom of those who live the land as a gift is pure energy for life. It is also our mission at Spaghetti & Mandolino.
In our small way, with humility and a great passion for those who cultivate the land with love and respect, we are searching and selecting for you the rarities of small, sometimes forgotten, territories of our beloved Italy. Small “reserves” of goodness and tradition that won’t find the spotlight of Expo, but which remain the pillars upon which that positive energy must shine to illuminate the world.
