What is Merano WineFestival and how does it work

Merano WineFestival is an event founded in 1992 in the South Tyrolean municipality by Helmuth Köcher, who, besides being the founder, is also the current president, where only wines selected by a jury divided into ten specialized commissions called The WineHunter (hence the name of our dedicated section) can participate. It is an event that goes beyond the spectacularization of wine, establishing itself as one of the most exclusive occasions for all industry operators. Great wines and high gastronomy enclosed in a simple and clear concept: excellence.
Every year, over 500 selected wineries from national and international backgrounds, along with over a hundred Italian high gastronomy companies are the heart of the Merano WineFestival's offerings, through which the best selections available on the market are presented.

A multifaceted event that has not remained confined to Merano (whose event takes place in November), but which has gone out to other locations around the world. Merano WineFestival actually organizes events that bear its name and quality: the next one is in Siena on February 1-2-3.
