Magis Brewery: unique recipes, surprising flavors.

Birrificio Magis: born from the experience and passion of Nicolò Maistrello, the craft brewery that produces unique flavored beers, true taste and flavor experiences, is located in Desenzano.

Always a homebrewer, driven by his father's passion for beer making, Nicolò decided at just 23 years old to bring his project to life. He deepened his knowledge in the field through training acquired in Padua, in the European recognized course for Craft Brewers. Here he learned the techniques, expanded his studies, and especially created his own business plan thanks to guidance towards self-employment. Therefore, in November 2017, the Magis brewery was born, with a two-vessel system with a capacity of 12 Hl of wort.

Birrificio Magis: the refinement of raw materials

The Magis Brewery is the first and only craft brewery in Desenzano del Garda, in the province of Brescia - we are in Lombardia. Nicolò Maistrello is one of the youngest master brewers in Italy, and it is also thanks to his youthful enthusiasm that Nicolò is committed to seeking out raw materials and experimentation, which give a unique flavor to the finished product.

Every step of the process is executed following hygienic and sanitary regulations to ensure the organoleptic consistency of the produced beers, and not only that: the watchword is quality, primarily in the use of the finest and most innovative raw materials.

The products of the Magis brewery

The Magis beers are, among craft beers, a true taste experience: no wonder that the beer Smoky has already won several prestigious awards, becoming the flagship of the brewery. In fact, it won the award at the Palio dei Birrifici di San Martino dall’Argine, taking home the special first prize 2019 Style Porter & Stout.

The Smoky is undoubtedly a true masterpiece: it’s a smoked sweet stout of English tradition, with dark tones, a sweet character, full-bodied, with a roasted aftertaste reminiscent of the smell and aroma of sweet espresso coffee. It is a high-fermentation beer, unfiltered and unpasteurized, with a smoky scent.

This beer is perfect to be enjoyed alone: it is a contemplative beer, possibly to pair with a piece of dark chocolate. Want to be daring? Try it with coffee risotto or a tiramisù dessert. The perfect pairing.

Another flagship product is the Hempy, the craft beer with hemp. It is unfiltered, unpasteurized, and high fermentation. It is a beer produced in collaboration with the agricultural company Le Vie della Canapa, which provides high-quality hemp totally THC-free.

This beer is golden in color, fresh on the palate, well-balanced, with a fruity character and a slight herbal note. It is a beer with an enveloping, smooth, and not too heavy flavor: a unique and sensory tasting experience.

The Bart beer, an artisanal American Pale, is balanced, concrete, citrusy, and fresh. The amber color accompanies the rich hoppy aroma, with citrus notes that pair well with many tasty dishes such as roasts, baked potatoes, and of course burgers with sauce!

The Diletta beer is soft, sweet, and fruity, golden in color and fresh on the palate. Very balanced, delicate, and hoppy, ideal for pairing with snacks and appetizers.

Lastly, the classics: the red, an Irish beer of Irish tradition with caramel and biscuit tones. And then the blonde, the classic Pilsener, light and golden, with a refreshing and balanced flavor, perfect for pizza.
