Coronavirus emergency: we at S&M are here and giving our all.

The threat of the Coronavirus is weaker today and, in fact, the phase 3 has just started with the hope that we can all return to our normal activities.

We at Spaghetti & Mandolino have never stopped, although we have been very slow and sometimes faced difficulties, but we have always offered our service to anyone who wanted to bring a bit of typical Italian into their home, including you, where you were spending your quarantine until recently.

There have been, during phases 1 and 2, many difficulties in the shipping sector. The shippers had to work a lot of overtime, finding themselves facing blockages in various areas of Italy. Unfortunately, these difficulties are not over.

The delivery times remain longer than normal, but if in phases 1 and 2 we needed at least 10-12 days to deliver your order, now we need 8-10 days.

Shipping: areas at risk of delays

It should also be noted that in some areas of Italy, shippers are having difficulty moving: we are generally talking about the Lombardy region where there is a situation of delays mainly due to accumulations in the main hubs. More specifically, particularly strong delays are recorded in the areas of: Brescia, Bergamo, and Milano Sud, as well as in the province of Piacenza.

FAQ: situation during the Coronavirus emergency

To facilitate communication with you, as we receive many questions from everyone regarding the status of orders, we thought we would provide you with some information that may be useful.

Will I be notified when my order is shipped?
Of course, an email will arrive where you will find the tracking code to follow to know where your package is.

How can I know if my order has been shipped?
The moment you will know it has been shipped is precisely when you receive the email with the tracking code.

The website states delivery in 24/48 hours: isn’t that so?
Not now, it was the average speed of shippers before the Coronavirus and (let's clarify again) it refers to the travel time from when the goods leave our warehouse to arrive at your home. Now it is not so because it is more difficult to pick up the products: shippers are, in fact, in great difficulty, so patience must be exercised.

Can I pay on delivery?
If before, due to the Coronavirus, shippers avoided contact especially with cash, with phase 3 we also accept cash on delivery.

Have you adapted to the Coronavirus?
Certainly. In our warehouse, we are equipped with gloves and masks and we clean every surface where we place the products that will go in the package. We use paper to separate the products from the external packaging. We therefore ask you to be careful when you receive them: open the package, remove the outer box, and then wash your hands because other people have touched it between us and you.

I am having trouble communicating with you, what should I do?
We are sorry, it is true, we are a bit more overwhelmed trying to satisfy everyone. According to our internal regulation, we strive to respond to all emails within 8 working hours, if we do not, please forward your request again so that it stays. This will be an incentive for us both to respond and to improve the service.

Home delivery service

We have also activated a home delivery service for some areas of the province of Verona. We did this to offer an additional service to the community during this very difficult time, so that citizens can go out of their homes as little as possible. So, if you live in the province of Verona, follow this page because it will be updated often, as the service is in the experimental phase.

Enjoy the restart!
