There are now 5 weeks left until Christmas, time is running out, so we need to get ahead with the preparations. I'll start from the end, with the dessert, because I am very greedy.
I have been a Milanese by adoption for many years, but my heart beats a little faster for the Veronese dessert, Pandoro. I would recommend the one from the company “Principe” called "Tutto Burro", as it conveys the idea and creates happiness.
A soft bite that smells of butter and vanilla, served as you like with a custard, always in the same shade, leaning towards gold… and what do we pair it with?
I would choose a wine from the same region, produced by a young winemaker, Filippo Bottacini. His mission is to produce terroir wines that showcase their originality. Made from pure Trebbiano grapes, it has been aged in barriques for 12 months.
On the nose, it shows great complexity, with aromas of yellow fruit in jam, honey, candied citrus, and dried fruit like toasted almonds.
On the palate, we discover a great balance between sweetness, acidity, and savoriness, with a long and pleasant finish.
When you finally taste everything together, there is a great harmony that is worthy of Christmas.
We recommend that you enjoy
