Cheese Oscar to La Casara Dairy of Roncà

Great joy for Giovanni, Gildo, and Letizia Roncolato. They win one of the most prestigious national awards with a cheese that is a must in their company’s production history: the Monte Veronese DOP d’Allevo, aged 20 months.

The event took place last April at the impressive Villa Braida in Mogliano Veneto. An exceptional jury, including Alberto Marcomini from Tg5 Gusto, a renowned cheese expert and communicator, as well as the true guru of French cheese, Rolan Barthelemy, owner of the finest cheese shop in France and one of the most extraordinary experts on French cheeses.

The Roncolatos of Roncà in Verona (discover their dairy and cheeses) won the award among 2,000 participants, a testament to the value of this achievement.

The Monte Veronese DOP d’Allevo represents the history of Veronese cheesemaking and is a source of pride for the Lessinia region. Giovanni Roncolato has been one of the most active advocates of the Protected Designation of Origin and a champion for this product nationally and internationally.
