A prestigious new milestone for the e-commerce portal Spaghetti & Mandolino.
The online sales project for high-quality Italian food products started about a year ago by a group of young entrepreneurs from Verona, supported by an expert in Italian wine & food.
Gruppo Volta and Bernardo Pasquali are ensuring an important place in the landscape of remote selling for this interesting and innovative Venetian start-up, whose name is "slightly" ironic. Connections with numerous Italian production realities have resulted in a gradually expanding product range, today offering around 700 items. It is the only portal in Italy providing technical content and in-depth analyses on the history, culture, and gastronomic tradition of Italy. A portal that, in addition to sales, aims to promote Italian agri-food heritage, starting from the rarest products excluded from large distribution. A special focus on small producers of excellence who are the true soul supporting the project.
Spaghetti & Mandolino has recently also broken the barrier of delivering
fresh fruit online and
fresh vegetables that come directly from farms, using only products ripened on the plant. The idea is to bring the field closer to the consumer, offering them the opportunity to buy otherwise unknown products from the traditional sales chain.
A constant growth in sales and visits to the portal now confirms and aligns with 700 – 800 daily visits.
Since June, the young staff of S&M has achieved an important result with another Verona-based reality of international level operating in the food sector. This is the new start-up of Società Sistema Pianura from Isola della Scala, owner of the brand Risamore. A new franchising network of risotterias that utilizes a highly innovative cooking patent for rice, preserving the quality of Riso Vialone Nano. A process that allows cooking rice in less than 3 minutes with a final quality that maintains the properties of a traditionally prepared risotto.
Risamore has won the award for the best start-up project in food franchising at the international level for two consecutive years at the Franchising Fair in Milan. Today, in less than a year, it has opened risotterias in Krakow, Verona, Milan, and Berlin. Risamore also owns important temporary stores for rice-based products at Catullo Airport in Verona and manages the catering within the rice cluster in the Sierra Leone pavilion at EXPO Milano 2015.
S&M will exclusively manage the e-commerce for the rice start-up products, bringing the ability to purchase via touchscreen in the risotterias and stores, with home delivery or to buy the "tasted" products in the risotteria. Additionally, it will be possible for e-commerce customers to pick up goods at one of the delivery points currently being organized.
This partnership also broadens the number of Italian products already available to consumers, reaching about 1000 items, thanks to rice-based products and a wide selection of typical Italian products from Risamore.
A solution that positions the young Veronese team of S&M as one of the most extensive portals for the selection and offering of quality Italian agri-food products in the online store landscape.
