Azienda Agricola Gorgo: scopri i prodotti

Custoza is a denomination that offers wines obtained from a blend of native and other international vines that have been cultivated for many years in the moraine hills near Lake Garda, in the municipality of Sommacampagna. The moraine lands that the glaciers, in their retreat, have left in the large amphitheater to the east of the lake end up in gentle, low hills overlooking the Po Valley. The Gorgo farm was founded on these lands in 1973.

From the initial 22 hectares, the property currently covers 60 hectares almost entirely in the Bianco di Custoza and Bardolino production areas. All the vineyards have been replanted according to the rules of the respective DOC and DOCG regulations. Subsequently, over the years, other types of grapes have been planted, such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shyraz, Moscato Rosa, in order to create with passion and imagination a wide range of wines with

a particular style.

GORGO, OR LAND, TRADITION AND INNOVATION

Fresh and young soils for equally fresh and sapid wines with a strong aromatic content. The management of the campaign is directly supervised by the owner Roberto Bricolo, with the assistance of a skilled and wise agronomist for thirty years. The harvest time is usually quite long because it is carried out almost exclusively entirely by hand: it lasts for 30-45 days to allow the grapes of some special farms to mature for a long time in fullness, until they are “overripe” for the Moscato Rosa grapes. Also and above all, the winemaking cellar is personally run by the owner, accompanied by the constant professional advice of the trusted oenologist with the intention of producing authentic wines according to their intrinsic tradition, not distorted in their typicality by the tyranny of fashions.
