Azienda Agricola Conte Loredan Gasparini: scopri i prodotti
In Venegazzù di Volpago del Montello, on the slopes of the homonymous Riviera, in the heart of the Alta Marca Trevigiana (north of Venice), there are 60 hectares of vineyards owned by Azienda Agricola Conte Loredan Gasparini.
An area historically suited to the production of fine wines, so much so that way back in 1590 the historian Bonifacio praised it in his “Historia Trevigiana”, claiming that “the county of Trevigi has woods useful for many woods and for hunting... The land produces [...] very good wines and the best is that of the Riviera del Montello”, it consists of clay soils rich in iron and mineral components.

Azienda Agricola Conte Loredan Gasparini: the story

Founded in the 1950s by Count Piero Loredan, direct descendant of the Doge of Venice Leonardo Loredan (who chose the territory of “Vignigazzu” to establish his home in a beautiful Palladian villa), the company passed in 1973 to the current owner Giancarlo Palla. Right from the start, the founder had the Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Malbec vineyards planted in the company's estates to produce wines of high quality, adopting as a production philosophy (which remained a firm point of the company) respect and
deep enhancement of the vine/territory bond.
The Second World War had just passed when, at the end of the 1940s, Count Piero Loredan realized that in the land of Venegazzù (TV) it was possible to make something extraordinary: a wine of the highest quality. A truly extraordinary quality in the absolute sense but even more so for the territory. A territory that until then had demonstrated great potential, but had never yet found any man with a Love for Wine and a Passion for Quality. So in 1951 the first “Rosso di Venegazzù” was born

The Alta Marca Trevigiana is the hilly area of the province of Treviso that includes Asolo and Montello. Il Montello is an elliptical hilly relief about 13 km long and 5 km wide, consisting of red earth that covers conglomerates of calcareous pebbles, porphyry and granite mixed with clay, all debris from the Piave river and the runoff of the Alps. The highest point is 371 meters above sea level. The total area of Montello is about 6 thousand hectares divided into five municipalities: Crocetta del Montello, Giavera del Montello, Montebelluna, Nervesa della Battaglia and Volpago del Montello
.
The company was
founded in the Tenuta di Venegazzù. Surrounded by vineyards, stands in all its beauty and majesty the splendid Palladian villa Spined a, an eighteenth-century work by the architect F.M. Preti. This is accompanied by the farmhouse that houses the cellar, also inserted in a setting of incomparable beauty. The forty-seven hectares of vineyards surrounding the buildings are mostly red berried, composed mainly of the Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Malbec grape varieties

The Giavera Estate is located on the hilly slopes (between 150 and 250 m above sea level) of Montello, which invite with their shapes to contemplate the beautiful landscape, dominating the plain of the Marca Trevigiana. At the foot of the Estate is the Villa that was the seat of the Provveditoria del Bosco del Montello at the time of the Serenissima Republic of Venice. The company covers twenty-three hectares, dedicated almost entirely to Prosecco Superiore
from DOCG Asolo.

Loredan Gasparini Farm: the flowers all&' eyelet

The flagships of Azienda Agricola Loredan Gasparini are its two blends of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec, so much so that over time they have become real symbols of international oenology. Just think, as an example, that the famous Treccani Encyclopedia, a pillar of Italian knowledge, has specifically identified under the heading “Venegazzù” the name of “... a fine red table wine produced in limited quantities in the Venegazzù area”. The company's flagship wine, the famous “Head of State”, was included in a French publication entitled “100 Vins de Légende” as one of the 100 wines in the world that, due to their history and their value, could be unanimously considered legendary. Prosecco Superiore is also excellent, coming from the vineyards of the ASOLO DOCG area, with a particular structure and sapidity
