Tenuta Maraveja: scopri i prodotti

Tenuta Maraveja is located in a privileged position, due to the suggestive landscape between the Berici hills, and covers six hectares of land, four of which are destined for the cultivation of vines. His wines tell beautiful stories, they are a perfect combination between man and nature where l&' simplicity represents the heart of a philosophy, of a thought. To fully understand this, you have to walk with Gildo Gennari, l&' the soul of Tenute Maraveja, among the vineyards and rows, and stop in silence in front of an exhilarating view that offers unforgettable sunsets over the small Dolomites.

The varieties for red grapes are Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon while for white grapes only Garganega. The intensity of the vines per hectare ranges from 5,000 to 5,680: l&' high density forces the plants to go deep with the roots to find the right support, necessary to make the fruits mature at their best, so artificial irrigation is not used, only the penetrating power of the roots. Gildo wanted the vineyard to take up, in this way, its space, its land, its rocks. L&' grassing is total, the earth breathes the total naturalness of a liberated environment. The Tovo Marino, a layered mixture of prehistoric sandstones mixed with limestone and clay, represents the special background of the Berian lands. A land that allows l& #39 to rest; water and makes it free for the small roots of the vineyard.

Gildo in this uncontaminated land produces incredible wines, noble by nature and rebellious by choice. International grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot intertwine their destinies with ancient Garganega and Tai Rosso vineyards. The grapes are left to ripen patiently on the plant: no hurry. Gildo is waiting for them at the best time, when they have gathered all the expressive power of the land on which they were born.

A &' simple and ancient oenology: Tenute Maraveja offers the consumer timeless wines, with an extraordinary ability to last over time. Drinking Gildo's wines means listening to the course of a wild nature that has taken care of the vineyard and its grapes. In the cellar, only respect for all that work remains, the estate is a place of welcome and smiles, where you can also find a warm Bed & Breakfast.

BIO wines? Certainly and even further, but under Italian law, once you request the green leaf, you have to wait 5 years of conversion. So it takes a little longer' of patience. From this point of view, we can rightly define Gildo as a 'fundamentalist'
