The Spiga Dorata oven began its activity in 2001 with the acquisition of the Scaligera Bakery Cooperative. Following this operation, Spiga Dorata operates a decisive policy of expanding its business. If, in fact, it had inherited from the previous company a customer package consisting mostly of small grocery stores, starting in 2001, supplies of bread and baked goods also began to be supplied to school, corporate, health and community catering companies, restaurants, religious institutions and social institutions. At the same time, the offer of products was also expanded both as bread formats (currently Spiga Dorata has a catalog of 30 types of bread) but also starting the production of baked goods such as breadsticks, chips, breadcrumbs, biscuits and even leavened desserts.

The production of leavened products still takes place according to the artisanal method with the preparation of sourdough. Furthermore, the oven uses only natural products with the exception of chemical additives and a strict control of the various production phases is guaranteed
