Villa Poggio Salvi, for its structure and modernity, is a company that looks to the future run with passion and competence by Pierluigi Tagliabue and his nephew Oenologist Luca Belingardi.
Conquered by the beauty of the landscape, in 1979, Engineer Pierluigi Tagliabue decided to buy the company and began the renovation of the estate. Today Villa Poggio Salvi has 21 hectares of vineyards in Montalcino, all planted with Sangiovese Grosso clones. The optimal altitude between 300 and 500 meters, the soil rich in galestro and the breeze coming from the Tyrrhenian Sea, maintain the ideal soil and the perfect microclimate for the vineyards. In 1998 the company was enriched by a new estate in the Chianti region, “Casavecchia”, where Chianti Colli Senesi, Tosco and Lavischio, our Sangiovese and Merlot-based IGTs, are produced
