I Vasetti di Riccardo was born from the passion of Riccardo, a cook by training, who for years worked in the research and development sector of a large food company. From this experience, l& #39 was born; a pressing need to create and experiment with ever new and different recipes, thus discovering new ways of combining ingredients to bring out the best part.
This is how the Vasetti di Riccardo line of pesto and sauces was born: a production that was born out of passion and which, however, has become almost a mission that turns an eye to the future. Following industrial production has also allowed Riccardo to expand and deepen his knowledge of food chemistry and food preservation techniques. The change in the way of conceiving food and cooking at this point was therefore almost obligatory. Traveling to Kenya, India and Sri Lanka as a volunteer, Riccardo discovered raw materials with unique flavors that later became the heart of his recipes. Riccardo's jars are therefore born from a harmonious combination of competence, curiosity and desire for a healthy world.

A healthy food that is produced using only ingredients that come from ethical and sustainable agriculture. Ingredients whose scents and flavors have become the absolute protagonists of the recipes of Riccardo's extraordinary Jars.
Basil, the Genoese DOP basil, is the undisputed protagonist of Pesto, while cashews, a real wild card that is able to support the other main ingredients very well, enhancing their flavors and colors, come from the only cooperative in Guinea-Bissau that transforms the cashew fruit on site. Curry, chilli, ginger, mustard seeds, pepper and all the other spices used are all purchased on the fair trade market, mostly from Sri Lanka and produced by a small cooperative called “Podie”.
