The vineyard Château Lascombes covers 120 hectares of vineyards in the Margaux appellation and 10 hectares in the Haut-Médoc appellation. It is still one of the largest vineyards of the Crus Classés of 1855. The vineyard Château Lascombes occupies the most sought-after plots in Margaux. Château Lascombes benefits from a variety of original soils for the appellation. The vineyard is divided into three distinct groups, approximately equal in size: a gravelly slope, which carries Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot, clay gravel where Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon are planted, and finally clay-limestone plots where Merlot expresses itself perfectly; moreover, this grape variety dominates the middle of the vineyard, an originality compared to the other Margaux crus.
