Vinea Domini: scopri i prodotti

The Gotto d'Oro social winery is a &' a historic company that was founded in 1945, immediately after the end of the Second World War, from the desire for peasant aggregation in the territory of the Castelli Romani, south-east of Rome. A hilly area that enjoys volcanic soils and a proximity to the sea that favor the birth of wines of great minerality and sapidity.

The Gotto d'Oro preserves the ancient winemaking tradition that dates back to Roman times, from which it also inherited its “Gotto” brand. This term in Latin refers precisely to the glass cup and which by variant also indicates its content in wine.
The wines of this historic winery are now recognized and appreciated all over the world to the point of being associated with the history and monuments of Rome, the Eternal City

.

Gotto d'Oro: Lazio pride between tradition

and innovation

The founding members of the social winery Gotto d'Oro were forerunners in the sharing of viticultural and commercial knowledge, dispersed due to the world conflict, and their foresight has allowed &' company to be l&' current Lazio wine leader and among the twenty most important Italian companies in the wine sector.
Since its origins, it has always stood out for the tenacity and the will of its members to follow and transmit the winemaking tradition, while remaining always in step with the times, respecting the environment and safeguarding the wine product. This allows it to be at the forefront of the oenological sector, thanks to the care and to &' love for its precious raw material, but also to the attention in wine processing guaranteed by a modern and technological establishment.
The Gotto d'Oro, therefore, is a modern and dynamic reality, projected into the future, but always perfectly aware of its origins.

Vinea Domini: maximum value for Lazio's DOCs and DOCGs

The Vinea Domini line is an ambitious project created in 2007 at the behest of the members of Gotto d&' Gold, fruit of &' cultural exchange between European nations, which began with &' expansion of &' Roman Empire and which today allows us to appreciate the complexity of d& #39 grapes; Beyond the Alps cultivated in the territory of the Castelli Romani that gave rise to modern viticulture. The volcanic nature and the freshness of the soils surrounding Rome beautifully enhance the varietal of the six single-grape varieties (Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Viognier, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Petit Verdot), deliberately never in contact with wood for a &' immediate and pleasant recognition of grapes vinified in purity.
The objective of the Vinea Domini line is to debunk the false myths that surround Lazio wines to enhance the native vines and the Doc/Docg of Lazio, giving them the right recognition they deserve.
For this reason, in 2019, the line was expanded with four native Lazio wines: Roma Doc Rosso e Bianco, Frascati Superiore DOCG and Cesanese del Piglio DOCG, high-quality wines that immediately obtained national and international awards. “Friccicore” and “Luccicore”, respectively a white with hints of apple and orange blossom produced with Malvasia del Lazio, a well-known native grape variety, and an unprecedented rosé produced with Syrah grapes with intense aromas of rose and pomegranate are born this year: two deliberately moved wines with Roman-sounding names, for a strong reference

to the eternal city.
