The Cembrani Consortium brings together five wineries and two distilleries from the Val di Cembra, the beautiful valley that fades into the city of Trento. This union allows for true territorial, cultural, and commercial development for the valley, which features terraced landscapes with over seven hundred kilometers of dry stone walls. The products created encapsulate the passion of entire generations and the history of a territory cultivated with vines since the times of the Etruscans.
Cembrani Consortium: united to promote the Val di Cembra
The mission of the Cembrani Consortium focuses on promoting the territorial uniqueness of the Valle di Cembra, its farmers, and its excellent productions that embody ancient values of passion, mutuality, and dedication, as well as the unique pedoclimatic characteristics of the territory: southeast exposure, significant pre-harvest temperature variation, and porphyritic soils. In three words: aromaticity, elegance, and minerality.
One of the Historic Rural Landscapes of Italy and cultivated with vines since the 4th century B.C., the Valle di Cembra is the oldest cradle of vine cultivation in Trentino, a mosaic of daring terraces supported by 708 km of dry stone walls that today yield the fragrant Müller Thurgau, the intense Pinot Noir, and the fresh Chardonnay, ideal for mountain sparkling wines. Just a short distance from Trento, open towards the Fiemme and Fassa valleys and along the Avisio stream, the valley is considered the gateway to the Dolomites.
The Cembrani Consortium has been inspired to design its logo from the profile of this unique landscape: it represents, in fact, the stylization of a wine glass composed of the initials C and D, filled with the profiles of the dry stone walls, lush with vines and washed by the Avisio river, which has eroded the slopes over the centuries.
Cembrani DOC Wines: the memorable tribute to the territory
To this end, the Cembrani D.O.C. Consortium has decided to encapsulate the finest productions of the member companies in a line of blend products, dedicating the result to the territory itself: 708 km Bianco, 708 km Rosso, and 708 km Grappa. Each company has selected a specific area, vinified the grapes, and delivered the wine to the Consortium to create an exceptional blend.
This line represents the excellences of the Valle di Cembra, its identity, and the unity of the member companies, all family-run, which with their work protect the landscape and its 708 km of dry stone walls.
