Masseria delle Stagioni

Masseria delle Stagioni is a family-run business that was born in Teano, in the high Caserta area, at the foot of the ancient and dormant Roccamonfina volcano, which has given the soil enormous mineral wealth, making it suitable for any type of cultivation. It is a young company, but deeply rooted in time, born from a dream of Vincenzo De Francesco, the son of farmers who, through hard work, allowed him to study and become a successful professional. However, Vincenzo decided in October 1988 to take a small leap of faith: to buy a farm.

Masseria Delle Stagioni: a return to the land, a need for quality

Vincenzo's decision was made with his heart: the smell of the earth he felt as a child on his mother and father's skin represented that “safe harbor,” that call to healthy origins that he wanted to continue to feel for his entire life! The goal? Just one: quality. The start of the business was not easy, but Vincenzo did not give up.

The dream and ambition to be able to cultivate good and genuine products for himself, his family, and his friends grew stronger day by day to the point of deciding to buy new lands to further expand his production, already imbued with the many lessons and peasant habits of which he was and is a convinced heir: only by respecting seasonality and the times of nature can one produce truly Genuine, Healthy, and Good products.

Today, Mrs. Antonia, Vincenzo’s wife, actively participates in the life of the business, supported by their children who, each in their own way and according to their abilities, contribute to the realization of a family project: the initial dream is now represented by a 30-hectare farm that maintains the primary goal of producing a product capable of nourishing body, spirit, and mind in a balanced way, also through extraordinarily simple aromas and flavors: an agriculture as close as possible to the concept of "sustainability" that favors natural processes and is also capable of preserving the "environmental resource". An approach far from the concept of intensive agriculture and its harmful practices for the soil, and especially for our own health.

The crops of Masseria delle Stagioni alternate between different types of plants: citrus fruits, peaches, apricots, pears, apples, figs, and, above all, many varieties of cherries as well as walnuts and chestnuts. 
Although hazelnuts (with 3 different varieties: S. Giovanni, Mortarella, and Tonda di Teano) currently play an important role in the crops, the main part of the Campanian company's work is currently linked to the production of Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
An oil that has recently also received an important recognition: at the International Oil Competition “AIPO d'argento 2020,” an event that compares some of the best olive oil productions in the Mediterranean basin, the Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Masseria delle Stagioni ranked 14th in the Italian-Light Fruity category, also achieving “a drop of gold.”
