The Strapellum Cellars represent a passion of more than twenty years in search of the unique flavor of white, red, rosé, sparkling and sparkling wines from the land of Basilicata.
Cantine Strapellum: a combination of tradition and innovation
In 1997, thanks to the grandparents' dream, Cantine Strapellum was founded, which bears l&' ancient name of the city of Rapolla, a colony of Magna Graecia probably founded in the 5th century BC.
The Strapellum cellars are located on the slopes of Monte Vulture, an ancient extinct volcano.
The project starts with great stimulus and impetus in the family winery, modernized and perfectly equipped and from the only company vineyard planted in 1975, immediately after the birth of the DOC.
The first years are dedicated to study, tests and experimentation, in order to understand the limitations and potential of the company and the vineyard. In the meantime, however, the first bottles of wine begin to be produced.
2010 was the turning point thanks to the entry into the company of the new generation, GiuseppeCuseo and Michele Turtora, a productive collaboration started in Cantina Di Palma, an important Vulture winery, in fact production increased and it was decided to expand the production range, believing in an ancient tradition of Vulture production, that of sparkling wine. Productive investments are made in the company, such as autoclaves and isobaric bottling line.
The Strapellum cellars are always in step with new innovations, always maintaining the care and attention that tradition and grandparents have left
