Azienda Agricola Pojer e Sandri is an iconic winery and undisputed symbol of the best Trentino winemaking. It is an example of complicity, friendship, success, but above all, wine excellence.
Pojer e Sandri: Pioneers of Heroic Viticulture
Azienda Agricola Pojer e Sandri was founded in 1975, born from the meeting of the young Fiorentino Sandri and Mario Pojer. The former had just inherited about two hectares of vineyard, while the latter had recently graduated as a winemaker from the prestigious oenology school in San Michele all'Adige. This winery was destined to make history in the production of high-quality wines in Trentino.
In 1978, the attempt to produce the first classic method with refined perlage began. After a few years, the first Cuvée 83-84 made its market debut, initially vinified in stainless steel and now completely fermented in wood.
In 1979, Azienda Agricola Pojer e Sandri was among the first at a national level to market Chardonnay, which had until then been practically unknown. At the regional level, they were among the first to astonish with the production of Sauvignon Blanc.
In 2004, Merlino was born, a product that unites two realities: the Winery and the Distillery. It was the first Italian Brandy where the entire supply chain was covered directly by a single “hand”.
New acquisitions, investments in the winery, a series of studies, and intelligent experiments, driven by growing success, have made Pojer e Sandri a prestigious winery between the Adige Valley and the Cembra Valley.
Pojer e Sandri: Artists of Trentino Wines
Azienda Agricola Pojer e Sandri spans over 30 hectares of vineyards, divided into different parcels that, while being managed according to conventional agricultural standards, are treated with maximum respect for the environment, the ecosystem, and the surrounding nature.
Among the rows, herbicides or desiccants are never used, nor are chemical anti-botrytis treatments, so the plants of müller thurgau, chardonnay, nosiola, aromatic traminer, sauvignon, and pinot noir produce pure, high-quality, natural grapes.
The grapes in the winery are processed using the most advanced winemaking technologies, always applied with the utmost respect for ancient territorial traditions.
The production of Pojer e Sandri winery meets the needs of all palates and budgets. It produces a high-quality wine where chemistry is not allowed, where everything must follow a logical thread towards purity, absolute purity. Starting from the enhancement of grape varieties such as Schiava, Vin dei Molini, and Muller Thurgau, the two owners have been pioneers in machinery, cultivation methods, and winemaking systems that have made history, demonstrating an untiring desire to innovate and continually improve, standing out as a great example of complicity, friendship, success, but most of all, wine excellence.
Pojer e Sandri has been dotted with successes, thanks to courageous choices capable of anticipating the times like perhaps no one else has been able to do.
