Pojer and Sandri: Pioneers
of heroic viticulture
The Pojer e Sandri Farm was founded in 1975, and came to life from the meeting of young Fiorentino Sandri and Mario Pojer. The first had just inherited about two hectares of vineyard, while the second had recently graduated as an oenologist from the prestigious oenology school in San Michele all'Adige. This company was destined to make history in the fine wine productions of Trentino.
In 1978, the attempt to produce the first classical method with refined perlage began. After a few years, the first Cuvée 83-84 debuted on the market, initially vinified in stainless steel and now totally fermented in wood.
In 1979, the Pojer e Sandri Farm was among the first nationally to market Chardonnay, practically unknown until then. At the regional level, however, they were among the first to amaze with the production of Sauvignon Blanc.
In 2004Merlino was born, a product that combines the two realities: the Winery and the Distillery. It was the first Italian Brandy where the entire supply chain was covered directly by a single “hand”.
New acquisitions, investments in the winery, a series of studies and intelligent experiments, in the wake of an ever increasing success, have made Pojer and Sandri a prestigious winery between the Adige Valley and the Cembra Valley

The Pojer e Sandri Farm covers more than 30 hectares of vineyards, divided into different plots that, although managed according to the rules of conventional agriculture, are cared for with the utmost respect for the environment, the ecosystem and the surrounding nature.
Between the rows, herbicides or desiccants are never used, much less chemical antibacterial treatments, so Müller Thurgau, Chardonnay, Nosiola, Traminer Aromatico, Sauvignon and Pinot Noirproduce pure, precious and natural grapes.
The bunches in the cellar are processed using the most advanced oenological technologies, always used with the deepest respect for ancient territorial traditions.
The production of the Pojer e Sandri winery meets the needs of all palates and budgets. It produces a wine of great value where chemistry is not allowed, where everything must follow a logical thread towards purity, absolute purity.Starting with the enhancement of vines such as Schiava, Vin dei Molini and Muller Thurgau, the two owners were the pioneers of machinery, cultivation methods and winemaking systems that have made history, demonstrating a tireless desire to innovate and to continuously improve, standing out as a great example of complicity, friendship, success but above all of oenological excellence.
