Fratelli Pinna: scopri i prodotti

The Fratelli Pinna Company is an agricultural company that offers quality products from Sardinia: extra virgin olive oil, a wide variety of preserved vegetables, and the most typical wines of the region.

Fratelli Pinna: enhancing the territory and its products

The Azienda Agricola Fratelli Pinna was founded in the 1940s by father Sebastiano, and later, in 1997, it was passed on to his children Antonella, Gavino, and Leonardo. Since those years, it has evolved significantly, and especially thanks to the invaluable advice of mother Caterina, they have chosen to invest in quality and respect for agronomic practices and processing that enhance the characteristics of the raw materials.

The Prato Comunale and Ochila estates represent the lands of the entire property, located between Sassari and Ittiri, characterized by hilly slopes and clayey soil with a substrate of basaltic rocks. The centuries-old olive trees, mostly belonging to the indigenous Bosana variety, grow in the Prato Comunale area, where you can find the mill and the workshop for producing preserved vegetables. In the Ochila fields, on the other hand, they mainly cultivate vegetables, including prominent ones such as artichokes, asparagus, eggplants, and tomatoes, along with a small vineyard.

The protection of the territory and its biodiversity, according to the Fratelli Pinna, is a crucial aspect in providing value and identity to the products that Sardinia offers.
For over 70 years, the company's production philosophy has focused on the search for the highest quality and the preservation of the territory: integrated pest management is the agricultural technique that the Fratelli Pinna have chosen to add value to olives, artichokes, asparagus, and grapes. This practice involves a non-invasive defense of crops to the surrounding ecosystem, significantly reducing the use of pesticides and phytosanitary products.
The respect for nature and its balances, combined with the quest for the best processing techniques, are the core values upon which the Fratelli Pinna's corporate philosophy is based. In fact, in direct farming, methods are applied that allow for a reuse of waste from both the processing of preserves and the production of oil: they generate clean energy through the combustion of olive pits and a photovoltaic system.

Fratelli Pinna Products: the good heart of Sardinia

The Fratelli Pinna Company produces three types of extra virgin olive oil in Sassari: the Antichi Uliveti del prato oil, the Denocciolato di Bosana, and the Maccia d'Agliastru. For the production of extra virgin oil, they use their mill characterized by a continuous two-phase system that works in complete absence of oxygen. This system, composed of machines connected in series, ensures continuity to the entire process while preventing the oxidation of the oil, retaining all the nutritional and organoleptic characteristics naturally present in the olives.
The Fratelli Pinna, in addition to the Bosana olive groves, also dedicate themselves to the cultivation of vegetables: artichokes, asparagus, broad beans, peppers, small onions, eggplants, wild chard, cauliflowers, and zucchini.
The specialties signed by Fratelli Pinna tell the tradition of the territory through the genuineness of good practices, applied in the search for quality on the table. The attention, care, and love for their work enrich the experience of enjoying gastronomic specialties that meet expectations with all the shades of the Sardinian land.

Fratelli Pinna: Wine, an expression of Sardinia

The Fratelli Pinna Company, in addition to marketing extra virgin olive oil and a wide variety of preserved vegetables, also dedicates its work to the production of the two most typical wines of Sardinia:
Agale Vermentino DOP, with emphasis on the A, an acronym formed from the initials of the names of the three Pinna brothers: Antonella, Gavino, and Leonardo. With a bright straw yellow color, it has a fresh and velvety taste, ideal for summer, particularly to accompany fish dishes and pasta courses in general.
Okila Cannonau DOP, the name comes from the locality where the vineyards have always been located. With an intense ruby red color, it has a bouquet with notes of marasca and forest fruits, pairs well with hearty cuisine and aged cheeses, as well as certain types of fattier fish.

The wines signed by Fratelli Pinna are excellent Sardegna DOP: awarded wines recognized also with the The Wine Hunter Awards.
