The Fratelli Foschi Agricultural Company was born from the passion for agriculture and the enhancement of the territory of three brothers in the distant thirties.

L&' farm, nestled in the beautiful and quiet setting of the hills of Pieve di Rivoschio, in the province of Forlì-Cesena, was founded as a dairy cattle farm.

Over the course of almost a century of history, the Fratelli Foschi farm has undergone various renovations up to the present day, in which the vision of a &' sustainable agriculture has become a reality, allowing the production of organic products, typical of the territory and not, genuine and of the highest quality, in particular grain legumes such as chickpeas and

The history of &' Azienda Agricola Fratelli Foschi

The beating heart of the project is the farm owned by the Foschi family for 4 generations now, which covers about 100 hectares in a rugged and picturesque territory: it is precisely the landscapes of the Romagna hills, surrounded by coppice woods, spectacular gullies and ancient villages, at an altitude of 350 meters above sea level that are transformed into the perfect stage for this reality.

A sort of bucolic paradise immersed in greenery and tranquility typical of those places where the most invasive forms of the typical development of human civilization have remained only on the fringes.

In the first twenty or thirty&' years of activity l&' the Fratelli Foschi company operated exclusively as a farm for the production of milk, thus becoming one of the largest suppliers of the local milk plant

Moving forward with time, the company continued, until reaching the threshold of the New Millennium, to specialize in grain-forage production, then also supporting the breeding of meat horses. #39

The company is currently managed by Filippo, supported by his son Luca, representative of the younger generation of the Foschi family. It is precisely thanks to his contribution that the mixture of commitment, passion for agriculture and knowledge gained in the university field becomes explosive: a real turning point in the company's mission that is even closer to the problems that link agriculture and environmental protection.

It is precisely this generational change that has led &' Azienda Agricola Fratelli Foschi to use cultural practices oriented to respect the seasonal pedo-climatic cycles and the territory with the aim of creating genuine and high quality organic products.

The gradual disposal of synthetic chemicals in agricultural practices and the adherence to a production protocol aimed at respecting natural growth cycles, the environment and biodiversity, combined with a careful rotation of the land, has thus improved the structure and the quantity of nutrients contained in them.

All Fratelli Foschi brand products are therefore certified organic by &' Bioagricert entity and brought to your home following the philosophy of the so-called “short supply chain”: sown, cultivated, harvested and packaged in &' within the same company, all Fratelli Foschi agricultural products are a guarantee of genuineness, quality and goodness.

Azienda Agricola Fratelli Foschi: what is produced?

L&' Fratelli Foschi Farm, in addition to the typical crops and products of the area such as fodder, soft and durum wheat or straw, has progressively begun to introduce new products such as, among others, legumes, in this case chickpeas and lentils, but also new cereals such as l&' pearl barley.

Initially, cultivation was carried out in small experimental plots as crops not frequently practiced in the Pieve di Rivoschio area. Only later, once the most suitable varieties and cultivation practices were identified, did cultivation move on a large scale.

All organic and whole wheat products are in fact aimed at enhancing genuineness and quality, in harmony with nature and the territory. In short, good for the planet but also good for our health.

Chickpeas, for example, are a unique source of carbohydrates and proteins among vegetables, while lentils are rich in iron and protein.

L&' pearl barley, on the other hand, is a versatile cereal used mainly in livestock and brewing, but which can give great satisfaction even on the table: it is no coincidence that it can have high energy contents as opposed to a low fat content.

Once harvested, the barley undergoes a refining process that eliminates the outer part of the caryoside, called gluma, thus making it more digestible and easy to use to prepare many healthy and delicious recipes.
