The story of the Le Guaite di Noemi farm is a story of family and passion, tradition and love for the territory, that of Valpolicella, where nature is the protagonist. Imagine the bunches of grapes ripening under the sun, the smell of the must that ferments, the religious silence that reigns inside the barrel room... here, this is where we are, immersed in the great winemaking tradition

of the famous Verona valley.

Le Guaite di Noemi: a family story from Valpolicella

The history of the company is told to us by Noemi Pizzighella, who has been at the helm of the company for over fifteen years thanks to her immense and inexhaustible love for the territory and its fruits. It all started in 1987, when Stefano Pizzighella decided to buy a small oil mill to start producing oil, exploiting a few hectares of family olive groves located on the hills of the small town of Mezzane di Sotto. After a few years, the family continued to invest in the land and planted vines in the highest part of the hills, called Le Guaite.
In 2002, when the vineyards finally began to be productive, the company finally found the right opportunity to begin the vinification of typical Valpolicella wines, wines rich in history, aromas and tradition, of incalculable value.

Just 10 minutes north of Verona, nestled between Lessinia and Lake Garda, you enter the enchanted world of Valpolicella, a territory that could be defined as magical, almost mystical, and that since the 5th century BC has been the stage of the most beautiful love story ever told: the one between man and the vine. To date, Valpolicella has given the Italian wine tradition several respectable examples: wines such as Recioto, Valpolicella Superiore, Valpolicella Ripasso and noble Amarone are to be considered unique for their elegance and intensity, always remaining faithful to tradition and managing to stand out among the crowd.

From the beginning, the Le Guaite farm has come a long way, also thanks to the love for the land of Valpolicella and its fruits that have never stopped growing, with the aim of projecting local wines also on the international scene

The vineyards of Le Guaite

di Noemi

The vineyards of the Le Guaite farm are located on the hills of Mezzane di Sotto, where the small, but efficient, family winery and oil mill are located, always open and ready to welcome curious passers-by who are passionate about authentic flavors and tradition, so as to show them what the land and the passion of the family are capable of creating.

The wines of Le Guaite di Noemi

Le Guaite di Noemi offers noteworthy wines, such as Amarone della Valpolicella or Tano. These are traditional wines with an intense color, with aromas rich in nuances and a soft and seductive, sapid and fresh taste. Le Guaite di Noemi's wines are perfect to pair with many foods such as meat, aged cheeses and game.
Such rich wines can only be made thanks to Valpolicella's calcareous and ferrous soil, containing minerals, olivine, pyroxene and volcanic soil.
The harvest begins in mid-September, so as to crush the grapes and leave them to cryomacerate and ferment at a controlled temperature with cultivated yeasts. The wine is left to age for a long time, just as tradition dictates, so as to make each bottle a unique piece
