Ferrari F.lli Lunelli spa, briefly Cantine Ferrari Trento, is an Italian wine company that produces Sparkling Wine - Classic Method for both the Italian and international markets, adhering to the Trentodoc consortium that regulates its production.
The birth of a Trentino legend
The company was founded in 1902 in Trento by Giulio Ferrari, who dreamed of creating a wine in Trentino capable of competing with the best French Champagne. He was the first to spread Chardonnay in Italy, which is the main grape variety used in the production of sparkling wine.
In 1952, Ferrari decided to sell his business but, having no children, sought a successor with his same passion to whom he could entrust his dream. He chose Bruno Lunelli from among the various candidates, the owner of a wine shop in Trento, who, thanks to his commitment and dedication, was able to increase production without compromising quality.
Thus began a family tradition between the ‘70s and the early 2000s that would last for years: Bruno Lunelli passed his passion on to his children Franco, Gino, and Mauro, and thanks to them, Ferrari became a leader in Italy and the Italian toast par excellence. During these years, some labels were launched that would enter history: Ferrari Rosé, Ferrari Perlè, and the Giulio Ferrari Riserva del Fondatore.
Today, the third generation of the Lunelli family, consisting of Marcello, Matteo, Camilla, and Alessandro, keeps the Ferrari tradition and dream alive. Together with an excellent team, they guide the company towards innovation, bringing Ferrari to the world as an ambassador of Italian Art of Living.
Ferrari Trento: the values and prestige of a great sparkling wine
The love and passion that characterize Ferrari have been passed down from generation to generation. The combination of tradition and innovation has made Ferrari the first Italian house of Classic Method bubbles.
The continuous quest for quality and attention to detail are combined with a strong bond with the territory. In fact, all Ferrari labels are Trentodoc and are born exclusively from Trentino grapes grown at high altitudes, following the principles of sustainable mountain agriculture.
Indeed, all owned vineyards are certified organic, and the concept of natural fertility of the soil has returned to the center, recovering some traditional agronomic practices such as green manuring.
The attention and respect for the environment have been rewarded with the "Biodiversity Friend" certification from the Worldwide Biodiversity Association.
Through strict regulations and sustainable methods, which include among other things the total elimination of herbicides, acaricides, and synthetic pesticides, the natural fertility of the land and the surrounding environment is ensured.
Finally, Italian style is another characteristic that distinguishes Ferrari, thanks to its elegance, the love for beauty, and the know-how to live and savor every moment, traits that are typically Italian. Ferrari is, in fact, a symbol of celebrating in style, always marking unforgettable moments in culture, sports, and entertainment, making them unique.
