Tenute Lunelli: scopri i prodotti

Tenute Lunelli is a brand of the Lunelli Group. Here, the artisans of time work every day to bring to light elegant and long-lived wines.
The Lunelli family has a history characterized by a strong oenological experience that has lasted for generations. The wine excellence and the successes achieved with Trentodoc Ferrari have pushed the family towards a new project focusing on a collection of still wines of high quality, expressions of three Italian wineries with a unique style: Tenuta Margon in Trentino, Tenuta Podernovo in Tuscany, and Tenuta Castelbuono in Umbria.

Tenute Lunelli: a family passion

The project began in the 1980s with the creation of still wines in Trentino that capitalize on the experience gained through years of mountain viticulture with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
Starting from the 2000s, attention shifted to territories with a strong vocation for producing great red wines. Captivated by the charm of the Tuscan Coast, particularly the vineyard hill where the ancient Casale Podernovo stands, the Lunelli family embarked on their Tuscan adventure by acquiring forty hectares in the municipality of Terricciola.
In 2001, it was the turn of Umbria, an ancient and mystical land, where a wine of great power and longevity caught the attention of the Lunelli family: Sagrantino. They acquired land in Bevagna and Montefalco, partly already planted, where years later Carapace will be built.

After decades of commitment, this widespread project of agriculture and life, quality and beauty, is encapsulated in the brand Tenute Lunelli, a seal chosen to narrate the uniqueness of areas particularly suited for winemaking through wines capable of deeply interpreting their territory, characterized by elegance and longevity as their distinctive traits.

A constant sustainable commitment for three generations

The winery has a close connection to the territory, placing respect for the environment as a priority. This is undoubtedly one of the strong values that has always distinguished the three generations of the Lunelli family.

Sustainability has become the foundation, the cornerstone, and the belief of the family. Sustainability does not only mean safeguarding the environment, but also the health of the winemaker and the quality of the grapes, and it is by combining these three factors that the Tuscan estate Podernovo was the first entity in the group to obtain organic certification in 2012. This was followed by the Umbrian estate Castelbono two years later, starting from the 2014 harvest.
Finally, in 2017, the Trentino vineyards received organic certification, thus recognizing the solid cultivation principles of the protocol for a "Healthy and Sustainable Mountain Viticulture," which requires the elimination of insecticides and herbicides.
