Agricola L&P is an agricultural company based in Basilicata. The company is born from the desire of two ambitious young people who want to promote their homeland and its genuine fruits.
 

Agricola L&P: the dream of Egidio and Elisa that becomes reality

It is 2017. Elisa Peluso is twenty-nine years old, Egidio Lofiego is thirty-one. The two young Lucanians, life partners, decide to embark on a challenging path, that of their dream: to found an agricultural company in Basilicata, the land that has seen them grow and that means everything to them.

Thus Agricola L&P is founded, and at that moment begins for Elisa and Egidio the adventure of a lifetime, for which they have questioned everything.
This dream has completely altered the couple’s plans, who have given up the prospect of stable employment to dedicate themselves to the much more difficult and uncertain activity of agriculture.
 

Agricola L&P: when love for the land leads to product quality

The feeling of love that binds the couple to their homeland is so intense that it drives them to always give their best.
Commitment, stubbornness, and dedication are the key words of the company, which daily produces precious fruits.

Basilicata (here you can find typical products of Basilicata) is a region known for the widespread presence in a wild state of aromatic and medicinal herbs, and for this reason Agricola L&P has made them the flagship products of the company.
Aromatic herbs indeed represent the main crop, with as much as 4.5 hectares of land.
In addition, 1.5 hectares are covered by olive groves, 0.5 by vegetables, and 0.2 by citrus fruits.

One of these aromatic herbs, which represents, according to Elisa and Egidio, Agricola L&P, is the oregano, grown in a plot at 600 meters above sea level.
Every step of the processing is meticulously managed to preserve the quality of the product while maintaining the wild nature of the plant.
The smell, as well as the taste and the high content of essential oils of this aromatic plant testify to the high quality of the oregano.

The company does not use chemical products, herbicides, or pesticides on its lands in full respect of the environment, and employs conservative and regenerative agricultural techniques. This way, it manages to ensure the protection of biodiversity and the balance of the soil.
