Mamma Jumbo Shrimp: the culture of wine for everyone
The common thread behind the projects of the Mamma Jumbo Shrimp brand is the passion for wine, in particular Italian wine. The philosophy of Mamma Jumbo Shrimp is in fact to educate on the complexity and heterogeneity of Italian wine, using forms of communication and tones accessible even to non-experts. Wine culture is for everyone: this is the brand's message! And in carrying out this mission, Mamma Jumbo Shrimp is equipped with different tools: podcasts, books and guides, video interviews... in short, there is something
for everyone!
What are the roots of Mamma Jumbo Shrimp?
The project was born during the first lockdown as an opportunity to keep the Team's creativity trained and to experiment with different social media platforms. First of all, the brand landed on Tik Tok, with fun and trending videos. After that, the first editorial project began with the first guide to Italian wine: the Jumbo Shrimp Guide to Italian Wine. This first book was then followed by Jumbo Shrimp Guide to International Grape Varieties in Italy and the latest addition, Vine and Prejudice: fake science and the search for the perfect grape, the new book written by Professor Attilio
Scienza.
Mamma Jumbo Shrimp and the editorial proposals
All the books in the Jumbo Shrimp series are published in a convenient pocket format that combines accurate content, a simple style, fun stories and illustrations. Continuing the drive to involve and inform, Mamma Jumbo Shrimp then launched her own YouTube channel, where the founder Stevie Kim travels around Italy to visit and learn about the history of the most famous Italian wineries
.
L&' the brand's most recent addition are the Jumbo Shrimp Wine Study Maps, a two-year project, which will see the launch of 40 hand-drawn mapscovering wine regions around the world. This set will then be collected in a book/guide, to help all those who are trying their hand at studying Italian wine regions
