Andrini Marmellate: scopri i prodotti

Over 80 years of history to tell

The company Andrini Marmellate is located in Lombardy, between Brescia and Cremona in a small village called Gottolengo. Founded in 1937 by Battista Andrini, the company is a true family business, run by three generations of artisans. Today the company is directed by Maria Luisa - together with her husband and children - who has inherited the passion for her work and the craft tradition produces jams, jellies, and high-quality artisanal food products, using only selected raw materials and following traditional processing methods.

The production of Andrini Marmellate is based on the processing of fresh seasonal fruit, mostly sourced from local farms. All phases of production, from fruit selection to recipe preparation, from cooking to jar filling, are carefully and attentively managed by a team of professionals passionate about their work.

Andrini: history in a historic place for traditions

Among the curiosities of the place where Andrini Marmellate produces, there is the presence of an ancient medieval village, where one can admire the old walls, churches, and stone houses. The area is also famous for its production of cured meats, cheeses, and fine wines, which represent the gastronomic heritage of the Lombardy region. Andrini Marmellate therefore fits into an ancient and precious culinary tradition that values local products and artisanal processing.

Cotognata: ancient, artisanal by tradition

Among the specialties produced by the company, there is cotognata, an ancient and particularly valuable product.

The cotognata is a dense and fragrant jam, obtained from the cooking of quince pulp with sugar. This preserve is highly appreciated in Italy, especially in Lombardy, where it is traditionally served as a sweet accompanied by aged cheeses or used as an ingredient for making typical desserts like quince tart. The cotognata produced by Andrini Marmellate is made with high-quality quinces sourced from local farms.

And then, the wooden puff pastry jars

Who among us has not at least once seen "that" package of cotognata?
When we saw it again, it is a vivid memory for at least some members of the Spaghetti & Mandolino team, we had no doubt: we had to include it among the producers also for the historicity of its packaging. In fact, the company still uses blown glass jars and wooden puff pastry containers, recovered from ancient traditions in the area. These wooden containers, in particular, are highly appreciated for their aesthetic beauty and their ability to preserve the freshness of the products.
