The Mainente Winery was founded in 1939, when Virgilio Mainente bought the courtyard where the & #39 is located today; the company and the vineyards from which the & #39 comes; grapes for the production of Soave wine.
Corte Mainente is located in the vicinity of Castello Scaligero di Soave. The Winery produces, in just over 10 hectares, particularly interesting wines with a strong personality

Until the 1950s, the court lived producing wine and local products, and typical animals such as cattle and pigs were also raised inside the court. The wine produced was sold to individuals and in local taverns. Later, in the 1950s, the company specialized exclusively in the production of wine. In fact, the first productive investments date back to these years, such as the construction of some concrete tanks that are still used today for vinification

Development and an important step forward for the history of the winery came from Ugo Mainente, Virgilio's son. Ugo graduated in Oenology from the Conegliano oenological school and, since then, he has been putting all his passion and professionalism at the service of the company.
Thanks to him, since the 1960s, in addition to the historic Soave products (Soave and Recioto), the production of a sparkling Soave has also begun

The story, for three generations
At the beginning of the 2000s, Marco Mainente, the winery's current agronomist, supported his father Ugo in the management of the company. The third generation thus becomes part of the winery's history. In recent years, Corte Mainente has invested in innovation

First with the construction of the new pressing plant, designed specifically for white vinification, and then with the renovation of the area intended for vinification. Currently, Marco's brother Davide also works alongside Marco, who, after obtaining a degree in oenology at the University of Conegliano and having worked in various wineries, performs the job of oenologist to keep production always at levels of excellence. The two Mainente brothers also offer their wines outside the Italian borders, exporting their artisanal production to various countries of the world and establishing new relationships of trust and
friendship.

The Mainentes work directly on the 12 hectares of vineyards that are divided into three plots, from each of these we produce a Soave: Cengelle, Pigno and Tenda. They cultivate Garganega grapes according to the traditional pergola, we think this is the best method to enhance the characteristics of Soave wine. A territory with a strong viticultural vocation where high quality wines are born
