Latteria Sant'Andrea: Venetian Dairy Tradition

The Latteria Sant'Andrea, founded in 1936, is an agricultural cooperative located in Santandrà di Povegliano, in the province of Treviso. With over eighty years of experience, it represents a pillar of Venetian dairy tradition, producing fresh, aged, traditional, DOP, and organic cheeses exclusively from milk sourced from the farms of its members, all located in the province of Treviso.

Latteria Sant'Andrea stands out for its deep connection to the Treviso territory. The farms of the contributing members are located within a 10 km radius of the cooperative's headquarters, ensuring a short and controlled supply chain. This proximity helps preserve the freshness and genuineness of the milk, which are fundamental elements for the quality of the cheeses produced.

The territory of the province of Treviso is characterized by a mild climate and fertile land, ideal for cattle breeding. This combination makes the milk particularly suitable for producing high-quality dairy products. The paste is compact, straw-yellow in color, with a sparse and small texture, evenly distributed. The aroma is complex, with notes of butter, dried fruit, and hay, evolving during aging into hints of chestnut and spices.
