Podere Casina

The company was founded in 1987 by the spouses Rachel Kimmich and Marcello Pirisi. They indeed purchased an abandoned farm of 45 hectares on the sunny hills of Maremma between the municipalities of Grosseto and Scansano.
With a lot of effort but also a lot of passion, they transformed it into the beautiful company it is today where they live with their three children: Ivan, Michele, and Andrea. All the work, from the vineyard to the cellar, is personally followed by the family members. The vineyards extend over an area of 12 hectares, cultivated with the varieties of Sangiovese and Syrah. Marcello Pirisi, along with his son Andrea, is responsible for the wine production. The grape harvest is done manually, carefully selecting them and processing them in their cellar. The result is excellent quality wines. Rachel is the artist who gives a stamp with her style and passion to the products of the Podere Casina company, personally taking care of the image. Their wine fully represents them: different souls that have met in a "different" land, making it their own.
