The BIO Nectarines are cultivated and sold directly by Corte all'Olmo, an excellent organic reality from Verona.
The nectarine is a fruit of the Veronese tradition and there are many agronomy treatises from past centuries that discuss it in detail. The Adige River is the mother of the soil formation on which the peach trees stand. Over the millennia, stones from the Dolomites have moved downhill, leaving behind gravels, sands, and loess in this territory, rich in minerals with excellent drainage capacity, typical of river soils.
Nectarines are particularly fragrant and have a distinct flavor. Aromas and fragrances arise from specific temperature excursions mediated by fresh breezes descending from the Lessini Mountains and the high hills of Valpolicella.
Nectarines are the sweetest and most balanced, with a beautiful freshness and intense flavor. Ideal to eat raw, fresh. Our nectarines can be eaten with the skin, just washed. They are organic and therefore untreated!
The BIO Peach Nettarine from Verona are incredibly soft, juicy, and ready for tasting. They are ideal for making jams and compotes, thanks to their good acidity and sugar reserves. They offer very intense and typical aromas in jams, perfect for making fruit tarts and French clafoutis. Additionally, they are interesting to accompany syrupy ice creams.
We also recommend them at the end of a meal, cut into wedges with a bit of Sicilian lemon or Sorrento sfusato. In fruit salad, they pair wonderfully with apricots.
In Veronese tradition, peaches were cut in half, the pit was removed, an amaretto was placed where the pit was with a drop of acacia honey or wildflower honey, and then they were placed on the hearth in an aluminum tray. Today, they can be baked in the oven. In the end, the amaretto and honey will create a creamy mixture that will give the peach a very intriguing and pleasant sensation.
