The round apricot from Costigliole is one of the most flavorful apricots that can be found in the summer market. A product of the highest quality that has found its natural habitat in the Varaita Valley and in the municipality of Costigliole. It ripens a bit later than in other Italian regions, and this late maturity ensures a better presence of aromatic components and fragrance. An intoxicating scent that stands out and makes the fruit extraordinarily elegant and pleasant. Its color is typical and its shape is perfectly round, rich in pulp with a slightly marbled and velvety skin.
Excellent apricot for after meal, to be eaten raw or ideal for preparing purees for very fresh and fragrant ice creams. Also great for aromatic jams with great pleasantness and natural acidity. The very balanced flavor makes them ideal for fruit juices and refreshing smoothies. It is also used in fruit salad with little sugar. Perfect for French clafoutis and for fruit tarts rich in flavor. A delicious treat to discover that comes directly from the slopes of Monviso in Piedmont and breathes the pure air of those harsh but solemn lands.
