Cascina Fontane carries out the toasting of the hazelnuts using a patented method called “Vertiflow”. A jet of hot air allows the product to be suspended, causing it to rotate on itself: in this way, a uniform cooking of the hazelnuts is guaranteed. In addition, these, completely dehumidified, are perfectly roasted inside for a decidedly more fragrant taste.
This process does not affect the flavor of the product and thoroughly cleans the fruits, preserving their oily component in the final phase, that of sorting.
The hazelnuts are indeed manually selected one by one to eliminate defective ones and ensure perfection.
