The name of this cheese always brings a smile, but where does it come from? The Puzzone derives from a term in the ancient Ladin language spretz tzaori which means flavorful cheese.
It is produced with raw milk and is aged for about 90 days in the valleys around Moena.
Its rind always remains particularly moist. The milk comes from the Brown and Grey Alpine breeds that graze above 1000 meters.
This cheese is a Trentino product of excellence carefully selected for you by Agriform.

The flavor of this cheese, as the name itself suggests, is very particular and divides consumers. It is similar to another very famous product, which is Fontina DOP.
Its rind always remains a bit humid, while the cheese's paste is particularly compact and creamy. The flavor pairs very well with Alto Adige speck and other smoked cold cuts.
It's great melted over soft yellow polenta. Perfect when paired with an aromatic wine, especially one with a typical smoky note like a good Soave di Fattori.
