The Giusti Riserva grappa is a “blend,” meaning it is a grappa made from multiple pomace distillates of different types and vintages, and in this case, it is aged for 6 years. The barrels used are first-cycle Troncais oak, which give a specific character to the product.
One great peculiarity of this very precious grappa: the aging is carried out in used aging barrels from red wines. This technique tends to absorb the aromatic sensations of the tannins and aromas coming from the great red wines of the winery.
Alcohol content: 40% vol.
The color of this grappa is an intense brown with amber reflections. The aroma presents exhilarating sensations of licorice and light notes of walnut, cinnamon, and vanilla. Sweet nuances of ripe dates and carob. On the palate, it is fine and intense, complex and velvety without roughness. On the retro-nasal olfaction, it shows tones of dried fruit and spicy notes of ginger with a pleasant alcoholic sensation.
A very interesting pairing with 65% dark chocolate, with a splash of orange peel, and for those who enjoy cigars, a good Cuban.
