Lessini Durello DOC Classic Method Sparkling Wine 36 months Magnum

The bubbles of this sparkling wine are particularly elegant. A Classic Method that has been left to ferment on the lees for 36 months: three years of quiet for the wine left on the stacks to mature together with its own yeasts.

A wine that comes from a very special area of the province of Verona: that of the ancient Calvarina volcano, the largest extinct volcano from the Eocene across the entire alpine foothills. A harsh land but at the same time rich in minerals that offer the wine great complex aromatic sensations.

THE PROCESSING

The significant time of fermentation has enhanced its characteristics of complexity and has especially softened its typical exuberant characters. The wine used to produce this sparkling comes from fermentation in both stainless steel and maturation in oak barrels. All stages of production are manual, including remuage sur pupitres.

The Lessini Durello DOC Sparkling Method Classico 36 months in the bottle Magnum of 1500ml is ideal for important events and to accompany meals based on raw fish and in particular oysters and crudités of scampi or Sicilian red prawns. It is even more perfect as an aperitif, but it is quite versatile also with raw red meats, as well as with cold cuts such as Culatello, Parma ham, or San Daniele.

TASTING

To the eye, it presents a brilliant yellow color. To the nose, the characteristic crusty bread and yeasts are elegantly mixed with notes of dried fruit and citrus. On the palate, it is harmonious and persistent thanks to the good acidity that well characterizes the fine perlage and typical bouquet. Persistent with a citrus aftertaste. Serving temperature: 6 – 8 °C.
