This variety of Apulian wheat is one of the best wheats in absolute terms and has many advantages from a nutritional point of view, as it is rich in high-quality and highly digestible proteins. Senatore Cappelli Wheat

The durum wheat Senatore Cappelli is named after the Abruzzo senator Raffaele Cappelli, who promoted agricultural reforms in the early twentieth century and the revival of agriculture in Puglia. He supported the research of the geneticist Nazareno Strampelli, providing him with experimental fields of his own. This is how, at the beginning of the 20th century, Senatore Cappelli durum wheat was born, very adaptable and of high quality as it is cultivable only organically.
