The Monte Cesen from malga Mariech is a semi-hard cheese made from partially skimmed raw cow's milk, with a straw yellow color and small to medium holes.
It is produced in very limited quantities only during the summer months (from June to September) when the brown cows of the farm graze at Malga Mariech, among the mountains of Monte Cesen (hence the name) at an altitude of 1500 meters in Valdobbiadene, in the province of Treviso.
The green grass, the flowers of the pre-Alpine pastures, and the artisanal processing give this product characteristic scents and aromas, making it unique.
Giving new life to the centuries-old history of the malga through its product, Monte Cesen - Mariech, makes it a contemporary and attractive cheese that "tastes" of tradition and roots that fade into the past but live in the present.
In Pianezze, at 1500 meters, in an enchanting plateau where large green pastures extend surrounded by beech and fir forests, the Alpine Brown breed cows graze on a pure and flower-rich grass. Here, there is a single malga that also serves as an agriturismo. The Ponte Vecchio farm produces extraordinary cheeses aged by the pure air of the Belluno Dolomites.
