The Visciole are a very ancient variety of wild cherry, which already grew along the Via Flaminia during Ancient Rome.
Pitted, the company Corte Luceoli jars them, where they are preserved in their own syrup with the addition of sugar and selected organic lemon zest from the Amalfi Coast, and they are free of any type of preservative.
Considered the best cherries ever, the Visciole have an intense flavor, not too sweet, but with an intriguing almond-like finish that provides a nice fresh and tangy sensation that facilitates swallowing and the desire to start eating them one after another.
The Visciole Sciroppate preserved in a jar from Corte Luceoli are nothing short of delicious.
Needless to say, to fully experience their taste, they should be enjoyed on their own and we guarantee they will make you close your eyes!
However, they are also excellent paired with semi-matured cheeses or blue cheeses. Great on ice cream, yogurt, or ricotta.
