The Habanera Cuba capsule coffee from Coffee Hat is an exceptional, intense coffee with a significant body, enveloping and balanced. It is made from Arabica Typica beans.

An extraordinary coffee, composed of 100% Arabica Typica grown in Sierra Maestra, in Cuba, at an altitude of 1500 meters. Once harvested, it undergoes a process called "washed", meaning the beans are washed and naturally dried in the sun. This is followed by a medium-dark roasting.

Coffee was introduced to Cuba by French colonists fleeing the Haitian revolution in 1791. The name Habanera (literally "from Havana") is inspired by one of the most famous arias from the opera Carmen: "L'amour est un oiseau rebelle" (love is a rebellious bird), and certainly this coffee and the character from the opera share the same intense passion. This rich quality of Arabica is known as Typica-Criolla and grows in the eastern part of the island, in the Sierra Maestra region, not far from Gran Piedra, the third largest monolith in the world.
