The BIO gluten-free Quinoa Penne from Pasta d'Alba is a tempting and fun idea to bring to the table for a healthy first course, completely organic and gluten-free. This pasta is made with quinoa flour, rich in mineral salts, especially iron and phosphorus, proteins, and vitamins particularly E, B2, and C. It also has a high content of lysine, an amino acid usually lacking in cereals.
Pasta d'Alba slowly dries its product at low temperature for 16-18 hours to allow the pasta to have important organoleptic characteristics and precious nutrients. The resulting pasta is nutritious and more digestible.

The BIO Gluten-Free Quinoa Penne by Pasta d'Alba are undoubtedly an exceptional food from a nutritional standpoint, but beware: this is not a pasta comparable to classic durum wheat penne nor to traditional gluten-free pastas.
It is, in fact, a unique food specialty that is very delicate, meant to be enjoyed with a spoon, appreciated more for the quality of the raw material and less for its texture, being more fragile compared to all our other products.
The slightly bitter aftertaste is typical of the raw material; for this reason, we recommend pairing these penne with a good Ligurian pesto. However, if you want to fully appreciate the taste of the flour, we recommend eating these penne with just a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, possibly from Sicily. Alternatively, they can be paired with various simple and delicate sauces, such as, for example, zucchini and shrimp. They are also very good with a bit more oriental toppings with spiced meat and vegetables.
