The green beans we present come coming from Emilia Romagna. Very fertile lands, those of the Food Valley, which allow for the production of this genuine and unmistakable product. Ours have been selected by Sa.Ma. Frutta: a guarantee of high quality!
These Sardinian green beans are a very fresh product, rich in flavor and detoxifying properties for our body: they indeed contain large amounts of vitamin A and C, minerals such as potassium, iron, and phosphorus. They also contain a lot of calcium and silicon and have remarkable antioxidant properties that help our body to eliminate free radicals. The flavonoids, in addition, protect us from inflammation and help blood circulation.
The Emilian green beans from Sa.Ma. Frutta (which we present on this page in a quantity of 5kg) must be cooked, as they contain phaseolin, a protein that can be toxic if not broken down through cooking. A steaming method is recommended to retain the vegetable's organoleptic properties. They are excellent as an ingredient for trofie with green beans, potatoes, and Ligurian pesto; or to prepare a light lasagna with vegetarian béchamel.
