Courgettes are very rich in potassium and very useful for the health of the urinary tract and the intestine. The Verona Zucchini from Sa.Ma. Frutta (which we present to you on this page in quantities of 5kg) can be used in the kitchen in many ways: raw, fried, grilled, steamed, or boiled. This type of zucchini absorbs seasonings very well, so if it is fried, its natural qualities of lightness and high digestibility will be altered. The cooking method that keeps it lighter is steaming. The Verona Zucchini makes excellent ingredients for minestrone, soups, and salads or as seasonings for delicious first courses. They can also be used for an alternative version of parmigiana, instead of eggplant. Great as an ingredient in risotto with zucchini and saffron. Coming from the sea of Sicily, they pair wonderfully in delicious recipes with fish: try the creamy paccheri with zucchini and shrimp, zucchini rolls with prawns, and cod fillets with zucchini purée.
